Recipe: EASY Corn on the Cob

Fun fact: do you know that corn cobs always have an even number of rows? I’ll tell you how I know at the end…

Step 1: Buy corn on the cob. Leave the husks ON.

Step 2: Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Step 3: Place corn in oven. Leave it there for approximately 35 minutes. The outer leaves will get a bit brown, that’s ok!

Step 4: Remove corn from oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes. Remove husk. Eat.

I told you, EASY. You can throw it in the oven, set a timer, and walk away! It’s perfect for summer and my ongoing mission of discovering the simplest ways to make vegetables taste good.

As promised, here is how I know that all corn has an even number of rows of kernels:

I have eaten corn on the cob like this for as long as I can remember. Yes,I know it’s weird. Yes, I go back and eat the rest of the rows. It takes a bit of effort, but I end up with significantly fewer kernels stuck in my teeth compared to the lawn-mower-method. I can’t stand those corn-tooth wedgies! And I have yet to encounter a cob that has an odd number of rows…
