Recipe: Bitchin’ Avocado Toast

I don’t know if avocado toast is still in style (is it weird that foods can even be in style??), but I like it as an alternative to my go-to scrambled eggs and sauerkraut breakfast on occasion. 

The key is to get really good bread. Well, and a good avocado…makes sense, right?? I used the super seed bread from Oat Bakery in Santa Barbara. It would also taste great with a good sourdough. Or whatever kind of bread your taste buds love. 

Ingredients: 

2 slices of Bread (1 to share or two for you!) 

1/2 Avocado

1/4 lime 

Salt, Pepper 

Chipotle Bitchin’ Sauce 

Directions: 

1. Toast your bread to the crispness of your liking. 

2. Slice your avo in half and cut a little grid into one half. This eases the avocado spreading process. Cover your toasts with as much avocado as you can fit. Sprinkle with a touch of salt and pepper and a little squirt of fresh lime juice. 

3. For the grand finale: spread a smidge of Bitchin’ Sauce over the top of the avocado. 

Enjoy! 

Pro Tip: Eating toast straight off the cutting board not only completes the trendiness of eating avocado toast, but it saves you having to wash a plate!
